Arizona reports 2726 coronavirus cases, mostly in Maricopa County

Update : The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) have confirmed there have been 80 deaths due to COVID-19 in Arizona.


As of April 07, 2020, there have been 2726 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Arizona. Maricopa County — with 1559 cases — has the greatest number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Arizona.  


In the US, at least 402,800 people are known to have been infected with the coronavirus, including more than 12,929 deaths — more cases than China, Italy or any other country has seen.


Banner Health Medical Center on Monday is launching drive-thru COVID-19 testing for prescreened patients at four sites, three in Phoenix and one in Tucson.


Patients will not need a doctor's order, but they will need to speak by phone with a Banner clinician before being scheduled for a testing appointment.
